Jirachi

Jirachi: Max!
Max: Huh?
Jirachi: I'm gonna miss you! We'll be best, best friends, forever and ever.

As many of you may know by now, I'm a big fan of Pokemon.  So it's no wonder that the new pattern here is another Pokemon, as well as my first Legendary!  I know there are already a couple Jirachi patterns out there, but I wanted to make my own.  Now let's get to it!

Jirachi the Wish Maker
Materials
-WW yarn in yellow, white, aqua(for shiny Jirachi, replace the aqua with red), and a little bit of black.  I used Red Heart Super Saver in Bright Yellow, White, Turqua(Cherry Red for shiny), and Black
-Felt in a dark blue, green-blue, black, and white(for shiny, use a pink in place of green-blue)
-Stuffing
-G hook
-Hot Glue Gun
Optional Matials!
-Felt in a medium blue(red felt for shiny) and pale yellow
-Fabric paint in dark blue, black, and green blue(pink if making a shiny Jirachi)

Fun Fact!  My Jirachi turned out to be just a tiny bit bigger than the "real" thing!  Thing is, though, I crochet rather tightly.  You could easily use a F hook for this pattern, if you're comfortable using one.

F/O with a tail just a bit longer than your hook.  Weave in your shorter tail, and use the long tail you started with to sew this piece to the back of Jirachi at Rnd 23 of Body, about 2 stitches apart.  (Quick note, the reason for decreasing like this is it helps keep Jirachi's "wing" looking smooth.)

Detail work:
Step 1)  First off, decide if you want your Jirachi's Eye of Truth to be open or shut.  If you want it shut, simply embroider one onto the belly with some black yarn.  If you want it open, cut out the base(a pointed oval, like an eye!) out of the pale yellow, and a circle of medium blue(red if shiny).  Glue the circle to the center of the oval, then glue that to the belly where you would have embroidered the closed eye.
Step 2)  Time for the face!  Once agian, decide if you wanna paint the eye details, or just do it all in felt.  If this is your first time making a plush, or you're not that sure of your painting skills, do this buy cutting all the pieces from felt, the black being your base.  This includes the under the eye triangle things.  If you want to challenge yourself, or you have made painting skills, bust out your paint and an eye base cut from white felt!
1)  Mark out where you want the light shine to be.  This part will remain un-painted.
2)  Paint all but the area of eye shine with the dark blue.  Give this time to dry(this can take a little as an hour, or as many as 3-5 hours, depending on your paint, and how thick you lay it on).
3) Once the dark blue is dry, paint on the puple area with black.  Once again, give this time to dry.  When it's dry, glue it to Jirachi's face.
4) Paint little upside-down triangles under Jirachi's eyes, using a green-blue if making a "standard" Jirachi, and use a pink paint if making a shiny.
Step 3)  Give Jirachi a smile, and your done!  Now go enjoy your little Wish Maker!

Sweet Bonus!  Sleeping Jirachi!
To make a sleeping Jirachi, make the Head, Head Dress, Wish Tags, and Face Danglys as before.  The body will be made as told below.
Sleeping Jirachi Body: with Bright Yellow
Rnd 1) 8 sc in magic ring (8)
Rnd 2) inc around (16)
Rnd 3) (sc, inc) repeat around (24)
Rnd 4) (sc 2, inc) repeat around (32)
Rnd 5) (sc 3, inc) repeat around (40)
Rnd 6) (sc 4, inc) repeat around (48)
Rnd 7-9) sc even (48)
Rnd 10) (sc 4, dec) repeat around (40)
Rnd 11-16) sc even (40)  Start stuffing body at this point, if you haven't already.  Stuff firmly and shape the body as you go. Continue to stuff firmly and shape as you go along
Rnd 17) (sc 3, dec) repeat around (32)
Rnd 18-19) sc even (32)
Rnd 20) (sc 2, dec) repeat around (24)
Rnd 21-22) sc even (24)
F/O with a long tail, finish stuffing.  Sew to head, matching up rnd 24 of head with rnd 24 of body.

Detail Work for Sleeping Jirachi
Step 1) Assemble the head the same as Awake Jirachi.  Wish Tags are in the next step.
Step 2) Sew the Wish tags to the Star Points so that they lay flat and stay put.
You want your sleeping Jirachi to look like this.
Step 3) Embroider on some little sleepy eyes with black yarn, and a little dot mouth.  With either felt or fabric paint, put the up-side-down triangles under Jirachi's eyes with the colour that matches up with the colour pallet you've decided on.

Now you have a Sleeping Jirachi!

Wilt Michaels of Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Hi everyone!  I've got a new pattern for you all, and let me just say, it's kinda complicated in parts.  Any way, I'll just get get out of the way, and get on to the pattern.

Wilt Michaels
Materials
-WW yarn in red, white, blue, black, and cream(I used RedHeart Super Saver in Cherry Red, White, Blue, Black, and Aran)
-White and blue felt(or blue fabric paint), and a little bit of black felt
-Black fabric paint
-1 6mm saftey eye
-1 red pipe cleaner
-Small dowel cut to 4 inches long
-G hook
-Hot glue gun and glue sticks

Head:
Okay, before I go on to the pattern, let me just say that I'm sorry it's kinda, well, tricky.  Now, moving on!

Starting with "Head Spikes"

"Stitched" spikes: make 2 with red
Rnd 1) 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2) (inc, sc 2) repeat around (8)
Rnd 3) (inc, sc 3) repeat around (10)
Rnd 4) (inc, sc 4) repeat around (12)
Rnd 5) (inc, sc 5) repeat around (14)  Change to black
Rnd 6) (inc, sc 6) repeat around (16)  Change to red
Rnd 7) (inc, sc 7) repeat around (18)
Rnd 8) (inc, sc 8) repeat around (20)
Rnd 9) sc even (20)  F/O, leaving a long tail on one, and a tail just a wee bit longer than your hook on the other.

Non-Stitched Spikes: make 4 with red
Rnd 1-9: Repeat rnds 1-9 of the stitched spikes, leaving out the colour change.
F/O two of the spikes with a long tail, one with a tail just a wee bit longer than your hook, and DO NOT F/O you last Spike.

Head: Main Part!
Rnd 10) sc into the first 10 sc of that last spike.  Take the "stitched" spike that has the shorter tail and sc into the first 10 sc of it.  Now take the non-stitched spike that has the shorter tail and sc in all 20 sc.  Sc in the remaining sc of the other two spikes. (60)
Rnd 11) Sc even (60) Now, using the tails from your joined in spikes, sew the gaps in rnd 10 shut.  Go ahead and stuff the spikes if you want to do so now.
Rnd 12-15) Sc even (60)
Rnd 16) (dec, sc 8) repeat around (54)
Rnd 17-21) Sc even (54)

Rnd 40-45) Sc even (60)  F/O.  Stuff head modertly.  You want Wilt to have a 3D head, but don't stuff too much, as you want his head to be kinda-sorta flat.  Stuff the other spikes in the same way, then sew them to the head.  You want the "stitched" spike to be at the top of his head, then put the other two under that.  Go ahead and weave in the ends on that head!

Eye Lid for Right eye: with red
Rnd 1-4) Repeat rnds 1-4 of Right eye.
F/O with a long tail, sew to back of eye.

Eyelid for Left eye: with red
Rnd 1-3) repeat rnds 1-3 of Left eye
F/O with long tail, sew to back of eye.

Row 31-42) sc even (8) F/O with a tail just a little longer than your hook.

Putting the foot together!
Step 1) Using the first long tail from the bottom of the foot, sew one side of the shoe to the sole, going from row 1-30 of both, using double whipstitch(just double up your whipstitches).  Repeat on other side of foot with the other long tail, going from row 30-1, stuffing the shoe/foot as you go.
Step 2) Using the black tails from the tops of the shoes, sew the 3 black stitches on each side to the sides of rows 31-32.
Step 3) Still using those tails, sew the white part to the black part on each side.  Now weave in all those ends, stuff  the top of Wilt's high top, and move on to the next part!

Legs
Rnd 1) With white, join onto the top of the shoe at some point in the back with a single crochet.  Working evenly, sc 11 more times around the top of the shoe. (12)
Rnd 2-30) sc even, stuffing as you go (12) change to blue.
Rnd 31-32) sc even, stuffing as you go (12) F/O blue, change back to white.
Rnd 33-36) sc even, stuffing as you go (12) change to red.
Rnd 37-38) sc even, stuffing as you go (12) change back to white.
Rnd 39-40) sc even, stuffing as you go (12) F/O white, change back to red.
Rnd 41-100) sc even, stuffing as you go (12)
F/O with long tail.  Sew to bottom of body, with inside of leg at about rnd 2 of body.

Detail Work
Step 1) Using the pics as reference, add the stitch detail to Wilt's "stitched" head spikes, and his left arm over top of the rnd of black.
Step 2) Start heating up your hot glue gun, and cut out you felt peices!  You'll need a black oval for Wilt's Right eye, a white number 1, a slightly smaller blue number 1, a big white smile, and 4 small white ovals for Wilt's shoes.
Step 3) Glue the blue number 1 to the white number 1, then glue that to the front of Wilt's body.  Alterntly, you can just paint the smaller blue number 1 onto the white number 1, then glue that onto Wilt in the same way once it has dryed.
Step 4) Glue the black oval to Wilt's Right eye to give him a puple/iris(idk if it's one or the other).
Step 5) Glue on Wilts mouth, then paint the three "teeth lines" onto it with the black fabric paint once the glue has had time to cool and dry.
Step 6) With either stitching or black fabric paint, add in the shoe lace and toe details to the shoes, then glue the little white ovals to Wilt's high tops, using the pics as reference for placement.

And that's it!  Once all the paint has dryed, and all the glue has cooled, you'll have yourself your very own Wilt!

As a cool side note, you can made the version of Wilt seen in the flashbacks from "Good Wilt Hunting" by making 6 of the non-stitched head spikes, two of the Right Eye, two Wrist Bands, and making a second arm, as follows below:

Alternet Left Arm: with red
Thumb: with red
Rnd 1) 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2) inc around (12)
Rnd 3-4) sc even (12)  Stuff fingertip lightly
Rnd 5) dec around (6)
Rnd 6-14) sc even (6)  Stuff thumb lightly
F/O with a tail a little longer then your hook.  Set aside for now.

Fingers, make 3:
Rnd 1) 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2) inc around (12)
Rnd 3-4) sc even (12)  Stuff fingertip lightly
Rnd 5) dec around (6)
Rnd 6-16) sc even (6)  Stuff finger lightly
F/O the first two in the same way as the thumb, DO NOT F/O the last one.

Hand:
Rnd 17) sc in first 3 sc of last finger made, sc in first 3 sc of next finger, sc in all 6 sc of third finger, sc in remaining 3 sc of the other two fingers (18)
Rnd 18-20) sc even (18).  Using the tails from your F/O points, sew shut the little gaps made in rnd 17.
Rnd 21) sc in the first sc of hand, sc in all 6 sc of thumb, sc in last 17 sc of hand (24)
Rnd 22) (dec, sc 2) repeat around (18)  Using your F/O point, sew shut the gap made in rnd 21.  Start stuffing hand lightly.
Rnd 23) sc even (18)
Rnd 24) (dec, sc) repeat around (12)
Rnd 25) sc even (12)
Rnd 26) (dec, sc 4) repeat around (10)
Rnd 27-100)  sc even, stuffing moderately as you go (10)
F/O with a long tail for sewing.  Finish stuffing.  Press and sew opening flat.  Sew to body at rnd 28 on left side of body.

Blooregard Q Kazoo

Hi guys!  I have a pattern for all you lovely pumpkins!  Bloo from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.  I decided to make this little guy to be part of my Halloween costume, and thought I should share the pattern with all of you.  So I'm gonna stop the yacking and get to the pattern!

Blooregard Q Kazoo
I put a can of soda next to him for size reference
Materials
WW yarn in a "Bloo" shade of blue, and a bit of white (I used RHSS in Delft Blue and White)
G hook
6 mm saftey eyes
stuffing

Eyes: w/white, make 2
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: (inc, sc) repeat around (18)
F/O w/a long tail for sewing.  Place your saftey eyes in these pieces either smack-dab in the center, or just where they would look best for the expression you want your Bloo to have.
Head/Body: W/blue
Rnd 1: 6sc in magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: (Sc 1, inc) repeat around (18)
Rnd 4: (Sc 2, inc) repeat around (24)
Rnd 5: (Sc 3, inc) repeat around (30)
Rnd 6: (Sc 4, inc) repeat around (36)
Rnd 7: (Sc 5, inc) repeat around (42)
Rnd 8: (Sc 6, inc) repeat around (48)
Rnd 9: (Sc 7, inc) repeat around (54)
Rnd 10: (Sc 8, inc) repeat around (60)
Rnds 11-40: Sc in each sc around (60)
F/O w/a tail roughly the length of your crochet hook.  Sew your eyes on now, top part lined up with rnd 13, if you wish to do so at this point.  Make sure the eyes touch just a wee bit!  I sew them on at this point, as it's very easy to just tuck the ends into the plush.  Now's also a good time to give you Bloo a mouth, then start stuffing him!

Bottom: w/blue
Rnds 1-11: Repeat rnds 1-11 of the body.  F/O w/a long tail for sewing.  Using that tail, sew the bottom to the last rnd of Head/Body, adding any last stuffing needed before sewing completely shut.

Arms: w/blue (make 2[optional])
Rnd 1: 6 sc in MR (6)
Rnd 2: Inc in each sc around (12)
Rnd 3: (sc, inc) repeat around (18)
Rnd 4-8: sc even (18)
Rnd 9: (sc 4, dec) repeat around (15)
Rnd 10-11: sc even (15)
Rnd 12: (sc 3, dec) repeat around (12)
Rnd 13-14: sc even (12) Start stuffing
Rnd 15: (sc 2, dec) repeat around (9)
Rnd 16-17: sc even (9)
Rnd 18: sc 3, dec, sc 4 (8)
Rnd 19: sc even (8)
F/O w/long tail for sewing.  Finish stuffing.  Press the opening shut and sew flat.  Sew arms to Bloo's sides at Rnd 20 of the Head/Body piece.

And that's it!  You now have a plushie of Bloo!

To make the curl, hold the piece you just made where the "flat" part is flat on your plam.  Cut an extra lenght of Baby Pink and attach it between rnds 2 and 3.  Roll the bang up where it will meet with the open end, stitching the piece so it will be held in place as you go.

Tail

Part B:

Rnd 7:  sc all the way around part a, then all the way around part b (24)
Rnd 8: (sc 4, dec) repeat around (20)
Rnd 9: (sc 3, dec) repeat around (16)
Rnd 10: (sc 2, dec) repeat around (12)
Rnd 11: sc even (12) F/O, leaving a long tail for sewing.  Wings are not stuffed.  Use the tail from part a to sew up the gap between the two parts.

Putting it all together

I'm crap at explaing how to put an ami together.  The best I can tell you is look off the pictures, and pin things in place before you start stitching.  The wings can be made with the felt that is a darker pink than your yarn, if you don't feel like crocheting them.  Cut out little "blush marks" from the same slightly darker pink felt.  I hot glued all the felt features.

2DS Carrying Case

I saw that I hadn't posted this yet, so here's this!  Just a quick note before we move on, I'll be using the pics for the 3DS XL case for the putting things together part, as I goofed and didn't get pictures of the one I made for my brother.  Anyway, on to the pattern!

2DS Carrying Case

Materials:
WW yarn in two colors
H hook
Carabiner

Back + Flap:  with 1st color, ch26
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across, ch 1, turn(25).
Row 2-32: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn(25)
Row 33: Dec, sc to last 2 sc, dec, ch 1, turn(23)
Row 34: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn(23)
Row 35: Repeat Row 33(21)
Row 36: Repeat Row 34(21)
Row 37: Repeat Row 33(19)
Row 38: Repeat Row 34(19)
Row 39: Repeat Row 33(17)
Row 40: Repeat Row 34(17)
Row 41: Repeat Row 33(15)
Row 42: Repeat Row 34(15)  F/O, set aside for now.

Front: with 1st color, ch 26
Row 1-24: Repeat Rows 1-24 of Back + Flap, F/O, set aside for now.

Side: with 1st or 2nd color, ch 5
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each across, ch 1, turn(4)
Row 2-73: Sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn(4) F/O if working with 1st color.  If working with 2nd color, ch 1, and move on to Border/Putting it Together

Border/Putting it together:
This is a bit confusing, but I have photos to help you understand what I'm saying here.
In 2nd color, Sc the side strip to the front, F/O.

Repeat with Back starting at row 24. Then sc up the side of the flap, placing 2 sc in 1st coner, sc in next 2, tie down piece (ch 16, slst back down ch, slst back into stitch you chained from), sc until there's 2 sts left, tie down piece, sc in next st, 2sc in last stitch, sc back down flap, slst into 1sc of joining back and side.  F/O.

Carabiner Strap: In 1st or 2nd color, ch 5
Row 1-10: Repeat Rows 1-10 of Side Strip.  F/O, set aside for now.
If using the 1st color, sc up both sides in 2nd color.  If using 2nd color, just sc around the piece.
Side note: Make two of these if you want belt loops, instead.  You may have to make this part longer if you wear a wide belt.

Now's a good time to go ahead and start weaving in ends.

In 2nd color, sc up both sides of Carabiner Strap, then sew onto one of the sides of the case.  If making belt loops, sew onto the back, neer the top and evenly spaced apart.

Last bit, I swear!

At two different points on the bottom trim of the front, join 2nd color, make a tie down piece, F/O, and weave in your ends.
Tada!  You're done!  Feel free to add velcro for extra closing power!

Assembly.
I suck at this part of pattern writting.  The best I can tell you to do is look at the photos, and go from there for the sewing of everything together.
Once you have your Unitato all sewn together, give them all their face, ear, and horn details with either black fabric paint, or black sewing thread.  Cut out a tongue shape from your felt, and either sew or glue it to the Unitato's muzzle.

Tada!
